How we make secure wireless network design on our home..?

So we can easy access internet on every where part of our house, like bed room, kitchen, bed room etc. The Wireless network is one of technology that growing fast right now, it have usefull fuction especially if we can used it correctly, i think some place in around you must have this wireless network, like on your office, college, cafe, airport etc, and sure you mush have question on your mind, how does this work..? it easy or difficult.

now on my hub i will show you how to build wireless network for home, i used home for research because it the best for our of course and have many usefull function for me and i hope for you too.

the tolls needed to build home wireless network :

• DSL Modem --> it depend on your internet broadband or your ISP
  
• Router --> have function as firewall but this is optional because now some ware have combined this with access point like wireless router.
  
• Wireless Access point --> have function to route traffic from wireless LAN to wire LAN
• Wireless adapter --> have function to make connection with wireless access point.

For detail you can see on the picture bellow.

FIRST STEP

Knowing your ISP Provider and DSL Modem you have, for example you have DSL Modem by buy your self or maybe get from your ISP, and then you need to set IP for this modem or you can ask your ISP provider if you get modem from him. there some the functional port that you must know on the modem, and basicly modem have 3 port with different function.

• USB Port : For Connection to your PC or Notebook - Need config IP Adress
  
• RJ 45 Port : In this case for connection to Wireless router/Access Point
  
• RJ 11 Port : For Connection from your Internet Provider/ISP

Important thing in here is about set IP Modem, actualy if Modem get by your self or from ISP there are manual book to do that, dont worry it simple just like install a new sofware or setting IP Address your Network connection PC.

SECOND STEP :

Configure your Wireless Acces point, there are many access point product, in here i use Linksys for example, if you dont know what Access Point is I try give litle explanation here, so the Access point here is for central connection betwen user to ISP, or to convert RF signal to digital and than canalized with wired.

How to Configure This Access Point :

1. Put this access point in the good spot or Line Of Sight with your PC or Notebook.
   
2. Connect your modem with this Access point use STRAIGHT cable.
3. Setting your PC IP Address to connect this Access point, the default is : IP Addr : 192.168.1.2; Subnet mask : 255.255.255.0; Gateway : 192.168.1.1
4. Open Net Browser (Internet Explorer/Modzila) make sure your proxy is empty
5. Type http://192.168.1.1 to your browser and after that you have confirmation to configure. Use username and pasword : admin (default)
6. If you already on the access point software please follow my picture for detail configuration (see picture configure access point 1 or 2).
7. Now you have done to configure Access Point.
   

Final Step

Actualy if you already configure the Modem & Wireless Access Point, and already connected to your ISP and dont forget turn power on your sistem its DONE. the final step is just for seting your wireless adapter, like this :

1. on PC/Notebook Open your network connection
2. choose wireless network conection - Properties - chose view available wireless connection, if your sistem working properly should the name connection, that we create before will appear (see pic configure access point 2)
3. Click or connect to that name and dont forget to setting your PC wireless IP by Automatic if we use DHCP.
4. Now you can connect to INterNet and do annything you like (browsing,chatting,bloging and etc)

Note : This final step is for PC/Notebook that already have wireless adapter, if dont have you must have wireless adepter first and install it.
